The Good

Friday, September 03, 2010 - Wieters, Matt - Orioles catcher, Matt Wieters, has been a quite the sparkplug lately batting .333 during his last ten games. Baltimore welcomes in the Tampa Bay Rays and their stellar pitching staff, but Wieters weather stats look epic. Wieters bats .136 over his career .269 batting average with the 79F degrees forecasted for Oriole Park.

The Bad

Friday, September 03, 2010 - Santiago, Ramon - Tiger SS, Ramon Santiago, has been struggling at the plate batting .219 during his last ten games. He’s in the midst of a slump connecting on only one hit is his last 16 at-bats and his weather stats are NOT GOOD tonight in Kansas City. Santiago bats .076 under his career .248 batting average with the 73F degrees forecasted for Kauffman Stadium.

The Ugly

Friday, September 03, 2010 - Santana, Johan - One of the lone bright spots for the New York Mets is their star pitcher Johan Santana – but he had to leave his start last night with a strained pectoral muscle. Mets say he is day-to-day, but let’s be serious. This is not one of those injuries a player can pitch through. The best-case scenario is that Santana is out for only a week – but I would expect him to miss at least two. The season is over for the Mets and there’s no reason to push.
